Aysha Alhameli, keynote speaker at the Model United Nations Assembly1/29/2016 12:00:00 AMAysha Alhameli, Permanent Representative of the UAE Delegation to ICAO had the honour to be the keynote speaker at the opening ceremony of the McGill Model United Nations Assembly, held in Montreal from the 28th to the 31st of January 2016.
This year's theme was "Gender Equality". Capt. Aysha Alhameli opened the 3 days McMun Model United Nations Assembly with a motivational speech addressing an auditorium of 2000 students from all over Canada and US. Capt Aysha's speech addressed the key factors for any person to achieve their professional goals: hard work, determination and education.

Harvard Arab Weekend11/7/2015 12:00:00 AMThe Harvard Arab Weekend Committee and the Harvard Arab Alumni Association hosted their ninth annual Harvard Arab Weekend (HAW). Held on Harvard University’s campus from November 5 - 8, ,2015 the theme Building Bridges.
Capt. Aysha Al Hamali, Permanent Representative of the UAE to ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) was invited as a speaker to the panel The Future of Aviation and Surface Transport in the MENA countries. Together with Capt Aysha Al Hamali, there were relevant persons in the transportation arena in the Middle East: Amer Hadidi, Former CEO at Royal Jordanian Airlines and Former Deputy Minister of Transport & Minister of Trade in Jordan, Fares Saade, Partner at Strategy&; Rodolfo Echeverria, Former CFO Queen Alia International Airport, Jordan (2007-2014) and former Chairman of Airports Council International (ACI) World Economic Standing Committee (2013-2015). The panelists answered questions about the growth of their airlines, impact of this growth to the regional ecosystem and the parallel investments in surface transportation carried on by their countries and the challenges that aviation sector faces in the Arab World.... | Global Aviation Dialogues GLADs4/28/2015 12:00:00 AMA series of Global Aviation Dialogues took place in South America, Africa, Middle East, Asia and Europe to engage States and relevant organizations on the development of a global Market-Based Measure scheme for international aviation.
The UAE Delegation was represented by Capt. Aysha Al Hameli at the meeting in Singapore.
The objectives of the GLADs are to:
•share information regarding MBMs and their role in a basket of measures adopted to address CO2 emissions from international aviation;
•provide up-to-date information on the work of ICAO on the development of a global MBM scheme;
•serve as an opportunity to receive feedback from Member States and relevant organizations on the development of the global MBM scheme.
